Why Are My DMs Not Being Delivered?

Message Requests folder

If the recipient does not follow you, DMs may land in Message Requests instead of the main inbox. The automation still sent; they need to open Requests.

Rate limits

  • Instagram allows roughly 200 DMs per hour through the API.
  • Exceeding the limit pauses sending temporarily.
  • ManyReach also respects your credit balance.

Story and DM windows

  • Story reply automations only work while the story is active (24-hour window).
  • Some DM conversations have messaging windows based on last interaction.
