TL;DR

Most issues come from testing on your own account, expired Instagram tokens, or a trigger type that doesn't match the user action.

Are you testing from your own account?

ManyReach does not trigger when you comment on your own post or DM yourself. Always test from a second Instagram account.

Testing from your own account will never trigger the automation.

Wrong automation type

  • Comment-to-DM only fires on post/reel comments.
  • Story Reply only fires on story reactions or replies.
  • Keyword DM Reply only fires on incoming DMs with keywords.

Instagram token expired

    Open account settings

    Check connection status under Accounts or Connect Instagram.

    Reconnect if needed

    Re-authorize through Meta if the token expired after a password change or permission revoke.

Debugging checklist

  • Tested from a different Instagram account.
  • Trigger type matches the user action.
  • Instagram account still connected.
  • Keywords are plain text without emojis.
  • Automation is toggled ON and saved.
