What follow gate does

Before sending your main link, ManyReach can ask the person to follow your account. After they follow, the automation continues with your DM.

When to use it

  • Growth campaigns where follower count matters.
  • Launches where you want a follow before access.
  • Avoid on high-intent purchase posts where speed matters more than follows.

Follow gates can reduce raw click-through. Expect a conversion trade-off versus instant link delivery.

Setup

    Open the automation builder

    Create or edit a Comment-to-DM or Story automation.

  2. 2

    Enable Follow Gate

    In the pre-DM step, select Follow Gate and write a short, friendly ask.

  3. 3

    Test from another account

    Confirm the follow prompt appears and the link sends after following.
